This new movie was made with the intention that it should be suitable for older children as well as adults so you can take the whole family. It is kind of a remake of Planet of the Apes but with a bit of a twist. It is almost like a prequel. The apes are younger and animated and the movie is set in present day. When experiments on apes go wrong at the lab the result is these super smart apes who can only think of taking over the world. The ape characters are very realistic and have these human qualities that make you root for them. New action movies like this are a great way to spend some quality time with your older children.

It takes place in the 1970’s and is about an Irish mobster named Danny Greene. It follows his life from childhood in a rough and tumble Cleveland neighborhood and through to is involvement in the gang life. He joins forces with mobsters like John Nardi to become an enforcer of the local mob scene. The Italian mafia retaliates and tries to keep their hold but they can’t succeed. This is one of the new movies coming out in 2011 that will be sure to hold your attention with great action scenes, lots of fights, and some really crazy characters.

This is a secret military operation that transforms in more than just a soldier. He goes up against Hitler’s head of advanced weaponry, the Red Skull, with his partner, Bucky Barnes at his side. It is set in England during the time of the bubonic plague and people are dying left, right, and center. But there is one little village that seems to be immune and there is a lot of speculation about possible evil forces that could be protecting the village. The movie has a lot of violence and it is definitely creepy at points but it will keep you glued to the screen, that is for sure. Amidst the violence and bloodshed there is a little bit of romance too when a young friar falls for a girl he knew from his hometown. This is sure to be one of the new movies of the year that people don’t forget about any time soon.
